A historian trained as a scientist, McCray here looks at science to formulate the future. Defining “visioneer” as a hybrid futurist, scientist, and entrepreneur, McCray focuses on K. Eric Drexler, a biotech pioneer, and on Gerard O’Neill, a physicist who inspired the L5 Society and other groups working to establish humans in space.
