Katrina Van Grouw, British ornithologist and artist, will present her unique book at the Princeton Public Library on November 13 at 7:00 PM, and the Princeton Packet has a wonderful feature and interview with Katrina in their current issue:

I’ve interviewed a lot of artists over the years, but never before did I talk with one about tearing dead birds apart and boiling their skeletons.

But that sort of stuff is part and parcel of the work of Katrina van Grouw, an artist and taxidermist who earlier this year released the book “The Unfeathered Bird” (Princeton University Press, $49.95), which collects drawings of bird skeletons by Ms. van Grouw, along with essays about the birds.

I hope you can join the fun at her talk.
