As promised, Birdwatch magazine has made a very important announcement regarding The Crossley ID Guide series. The Crossley ID Guide: Britain and Ireland will publish in November 2013. They have sample plates from the British guide, too.

And over at Birding is Fun, Robert Mortensen has written a feature on the Swainson’s Hawk (let’s all hope he’s illustrated it with another Crossley-style plate or perhaps a video with raptor-planking in it).
