Princeton University Press publishes the best-looking physicists

Ok, I might have over-stretched a bit. But, at the Physics and Physicists blog, they are holding a beauty pageant of sorts for physicists and several of our authors are in the running. Richard Feynman gets several nods in the comments area. PUP, of course, published the ground-breaking text QED: The Strange Theory of Light and Matter (the cover of which now bears a nice photo of a certain very good-looking physicist, check it out).

Other PUP authors that have been singled out — Robert Oppenheimer (PUP book is
Atom and Void: Essays on Science and Community), Werner Heisenberg (PUP book is Encounters with Einstein: And Other Essays on People, Places, and Particles), and Lisa Randall (who contributed the essay, “Energy in Einstein’s Universe” to Einstein for the 21st Century: His Legacy in Science, Art, and Modern Culture).

With no clear method of voting–or even of making a nomination–it is unclear how the winner will be determined, but we’ll be pulling for all our authors!
