John Levi Martin wins this year’s Theory Prize for “Social Structures”

On Sunday, August 15, the Theory Section of the American Sociological Association will present its annual Theory Prize to PUP author John Levi Martin for Social Structures.  Even though John is still a little over a month away from receiving the actual award, we want to begin celebrating early.

According to the Theory Section of the ASA, this prize “recognizes outstanding work in theory, communicates the principle that theory is plural and broadly defined, and promotes the interests of the Theory Section.”

Congratulations, John, for doing just that!

More information on the Theory Section and its past award recipients can be found here.

  1. This sounds like a very interesting read. My Summer book is between this one and one referred to me. Thanks.
