“Inventing Equal Opportunity” scores the 2010 Max Weber Award

The American Sociological Association (ASA) seems to love our authors as much as we do! Once again, the ASA has honored a PUP title – Frank Dobbin’s Inventing Equal Opportunity is the winner of the 2010 Max Weber Award. Way to go, Frank!

Given out by the Organizations, Occupations, and Work section of the ASA, “the Max Weber Award for Distinguished Scholarship is granted for and outstanding contribution to scholarship on organizations, occupations, and/or work in a book published within the last three years (2007-2009).

Last year, Inventing Equal Opportunity was named one of CHOICE Magazine’s Outstanding Academic Titles, 2009.
