Derek Bok appears on New Hampshire Public Radio’s Word of Mouth as part of their ongoing series on Governance to discuss how the government can make us happier.
“The same lawmakers that practice endless wrangling and political manipulation and occasionally unethical and sometimes illegal activity could restructure government with an eye toward greater societal happiness,” says Abby Goldstein at the start of an interview.
Their conversation touches upon what really makes us happy (is it money? family?) and, in Derek’s words, how “the things that make you happy, in many instances, also make society stronger and better.”
