Hardy Green launches the Business Books Guy blog

Hardy Green, former books editor at Business Week, has created a new blog devoted to the wonderful world of business (and judging by a few of the early posts, popular economics) book publishing. Check it out here.

  1. Thanks i love blogs about business, there are some nice postings on it with some great books that i can advise to anyone.

  2. Response… It’s blogs like his that will be the death of business publications as we know them. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. It just further underscores the dynamic and changing landscape of how we gather information. Thank you!

I love Hardy Green! And I did not know about his new book blog! Thanks for putting me onto this exciting news!

Cannot wait for Hardy Green’s new book on company towns to be out. Meanwhile, speaking of business, why isn’t there more press and outcry at present over US banks paying off their TARP funds for no other reason to award their top execs excessive bonuses. Something is amiss here.

  5. I love all his articles especially the on concerning the unemployment office.
Anyway it is good for businessmen and also for everybody to increase our understanding of the economic and social mechanisms underlying our daily lives.

  7. Hardy Green is a guy who already has a lot of credibility being the former books editor at Business Week. However, I feel that setting up his blog on a free blogger account may subtract a few points of this valuable credibility.

  8. Thanks for the heads up on Green’s new blog. I’m always looking for business books to read. It should be a good source of books.

  9. Thanks for highlighting this I have now had a good look around Hardy Greens blog and he’s now on my reading list.

I think with the advent of Amazon allowing publishers direct access to a global audience the author with perhaps less commercial appeal is still going to reach an audience.

  10. Popular economics aside, Hardy has a good business sense and makes a good addition to your library or feed reader. Thanks for the heads up!

I never knew Hardy Green also taught history at New York’s School of Visual Arts and Stony Brook University. I’m following his blog now.

  12. @ Rachel, yea his blog is an interesting one.

  13. Thanks for the link – it’s a great blog.

I have to echo the BBG’s comments about having an aversion to facebook but, unfortunately, it’s too powerful a networking and promotional tool to be ignored. unabashed exhibitionism it might be, but ubiquitous is perhaps an equally pertinent description.

  14. Very interesting. I am very interested in business books for sure, as I’m an avid business blogger.

  15. Hardy Green was a fantastic editor at Business Week. I for one am delighted he’s setup a new blog.

  16. I am into business books publishing as well, thanks for the link.

I had a class with Professor Green at Stony Brook. He’s most definitely one of my favorites!
